The Barri Gotic, as the Gothic Quarter is known in Spain, is the center of the old town of Barcelona.

The Basilica of La Merce, the Church of Sant Miguel and the medieval Jewish quarter are also part of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. 

The Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya, or the Presidential Palace, still serves as a seat of government.

This is actually one of the few medieval buildings in Europe that was built for this purpose that is still used as a seat of government.

This building is located across the street from City Hall, which is known as Casa de la Ciutat.

You can visit the History Museum, or you can even visit the remains of the temple of Augustus.

There are a number of more interesting buildings you will find in the Gothic Quarter when you are moving to Spain with IntlMOVE.
